Second Grade Building Collages

Second graders designed and constructed buildings using scraps of fabric and paper, completing the details in crayon. The structures ranged from small houses to big box stores and even a collage of the Empire State Building. 

Third Grade "Day of the Dead" Art

 

For our "Day of the Dead" project, celebrating the Mexican feast honoring the departed, students colored the traditional skull drawing with markers in various color families. Madison's blue-green mask, above, is a good example of the students' creative coloring. 

Third Grade Stage-Set Decorations

Third graders made decorations for the fall class play, "Swamped," using paint and markers to create insects, butterflies, snakes, and birds to be attached to the wall as a backdrop.
